Darasuram temple

A small and beautifully constructed temple with lots of interesting carvings of dancing poses on the pillars. This temple, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage site, was built by the Chola dynasty and is well worth the stop. Set among the tranquillity of a large grass-lawn garden with large tamarind trees providing shade and a cool harbour from the southern heat.
