Calling the lift in India…

It is still very common to see people pressing the wrong button when calling the lift.  They look at the position of the lift and press the corresponding button to make it come to their floor.  Very often, confused by this logic, number are those that press both buttons!  It just put a wide smile on your face… unless you’re in a hurry 🙁

Deeper at night?

Should say dipper as many vehicles drive around with their high beams at night, unaware of the benefit of the low beam.

Pondy Kappi

What’s with kapi (Tamil pronunciation of Coffee) in Pondy via @Devarya on twitter.  In a number of Indian languages  The F becomes P, football=pootball.  So in order to make sure they get Pure milk, best to write it as Fure 🙂 smart!
